A simple but classic design, the Lamy 2000 series is the iconic Lamy pen, the truest expression of the Bauhaus design principles introduced to the company by Dr Manfred Lamy.

The Lamy 2000 fountain pen was designed by Gert Muller, and launched in 1966 - a geat year for Anglo - German relations. Key design features of the Lamy 2000 founatin pen include the used of Makralon, a fibreglass resin developed by Bayer, a brushed steek grip, a 14 carat gold nib, plated with Platinum to give a consistent look to the front of the pen and, unique amongst Lamy pens, the fact that it is a piston filler.
