Before you fill your pen with Pilot’s 15ml Iroshizuku ink, we think you’ll find yourself admiring the box and the bottles in which it comes. The box is made of a sleek white plastic embossed with simple grey lettering in both Japanese and English, with an added white sleeve protecting the box. Japanese minimalism at its finest.

The bottle inside while not as beautifully shaped as the 50ml, still holds its own with the squared off rectangular shape. Pilot have kept the black cap shape and their simple minimalist label with both the Japanese and English names of each ink written in the exact colour.

Pilot Iroshizuku mini inks are sold in three’s with 15ml in each bottle, which is perfect for those who are curious and want to try multiple colours of the Iroshizuku ink but do not want 50ml of each.

“Iroshizoku” is a compound Japanese word – actually two words – from “Iro” (色), ‘colour’, and “Shizoku” (滴), ‘droplet’ or, more beautifully, ‘dew’. Furthermore, each colour of these inks has its own story, whether of landscape, plants, or even times of day, which we have tried to detail in the ‘Additional Information’ tab.
