Lamy Tipo Turmaline Special Edition Aluminium Rollerball Pen

The Lamy Tipo Turmaline Special Edition Aluminium Rollerball Pen is a beautiful blue-green colour, like a tourmaline, specially for 2018.

Like its more standard cousins designed by Wolfgang Fabian, this rollerball pen is uncapped, instead using a push-button mechanism to extend the tip, with the hinged, sprung clip forming the push. When the clip is pressed to extend the rollerball tip, the lower tip of clip drops into a circular depression in the pen’s barrel, meaning that it can no longer be used to clip the pen onto a pocket or bag. Instead, when the top of the clip is pressed the rollerball retracts and the clip returns to its upper, original position so that the pen can once again be clipped away for stowage.

The Lamy Tipo Turmaline Special Edition Aluminium Rollerball Pen has a barrel made of anodised aluminium, and the colour is indeed special for 2018.
