Sailor Yurameku 2nd Edition Ink

Translating from Japanese is a bit of a struggle, and the names of these colours are no exception.  Yurameku is fairly straightforward for ink lovers – it means shimmer, and Sailor tell us they were inspired by the heart – that is the literal transaltion of Gokoro, or possibly sentiment or feeling..

What is indisputable is that the colors change and develop as the ink dries, and different types of paper will give dramatically different results paper used. An almost mysterious ink that showing glimpses of different colors in shades and streaks – it is simply not predictable.  Part of the fun of it is to see the different effects and colours it can present.

YURAMEKU INK 2nd Edition features many dark and clear colors that change quickly.

There are five colours: Don’t trust the descriptions too much: they will certainly have elements of correctness and they worked for us!

DATEGORO:  appropriately for the brightest colour – means Glitz, Glamour.  When it first hits the page it is blue, but gradually moves to a vibrant purple with blues and browns.

HANAGOKORO – Fragile, like a flower.  Initially a deep blue, shades of which remain while a deep brown and purples develop.

KOKOROGUMA:  – Caring thoughts:  grey, moving to black ad brown.

SUKIGOKORO – Graceful, quaint – blue, turning green with varying amounts of brown and blue

ZAREGOKORO – Stylish, playful.  Blue when wet, then browns, grey and purples.
