The Sailor Syokei Naginata Togi Fountain Pen is the latest in Sailors highly desirable King of Pen series featuring coloured ebonite and the magnificent Naginata Togi nib.  It is a cartridge / converter pen.

This year’s special edition ebonite  Naginata Togi Fountain Pen is the SHYOKEI, which means Admiration.  In thjis case it is admiration for the exquisite artwork of Harunobu Suzuki.

The new SYOKEI fountain pen available in a limited quantity of 500 pieces worldwide.  It features the 21K gold KOP Naginata Togi nib and a body crafted with the colored ebonite “Chirashi (scattering)” technique”,

The body color is inspired by “Tsurebiki”, his masterpiece.  Suzuki was known for his beautiful doll-like portrayal of people in his “Ukiyoe” woodblock print art.  He mixed chalk to express neutral colors, giving his art a lyrical and fantastical touch.

Admiring “Tsurebiki”, Sailor brought his style to life in SYOKEIʼ s color theme by lavishing layers of colored ebonite on to the fountain penʼ s body.
