Write Here Newsletter 17/09/25

Exciting times at Write Here.  It’s our 21st  Birthday on Monday October 1st (unfortunately the day we close for our annual stocktake so the partying will be on hold for a day or so).  There’s some news below about some celebratory merch…

No lack of excitement on the new pen front, with offerings from SCRIBO, Leonardo, TWSBI and a wonderful Ebonite King of Pen from Sailor.

Don’t we spoil you!

John

Two Dandy new Scribos

Scribo are back from their summer break and have released two more FEEL fountain pens. Both pens have the impressive Barley guilloche engraving on the body and cap that was featured on the first Dandy fountain pens last year.

Notturno is a mysterious midnight blue which pairs beautifully with the rose gold trim. Dandy Velvet also has a rose gold trim to accompany the burgundy body.

Scribo’s nibs are a joy to behold and these new additions are available in all the usual range. These are available to order now.

Ripple Magma

A few months ago we told you we’d be receiving the Sailor King of Pen Ripple Magma Ebonite Limited Edition and we’ve now received our order.

If you missed the news the first time around, the Ripple Magma follows on from last year’s extremely popular Ripple Blue. This year’s model features a burning red and deep black colourway.

Only 88 of this limited edition have been produced and we have one left with a Medium nib.  A beautiful example of what, for me, is the epitome of a Grail Pen.

Multicolour Safari

More limited edition LAMY. Definitely something a little different from LAMY here.

At first glance it’s a set of two LAMY Safari fountain pens, one black, one white. But as you delve deeper, this set certainly has a lot more than meets the eye.

The set comes with 6 coloured rings so you can give the pen that personal touch and change as you wish. Another touch that makes them different to a regular Safari is the colourful circle pattern at the top of the cap.

A great collector’s item or an even better gift to penable a friend or loved one.

On achieving majority….

We are delighted to announce a collaboration with Dennis Humm – Den’s Pens.  He’s making us  21 pens to a new design, using a custom resin he is making himself.  We’ve seen a photo of the prototype.  It’s very good.  More info later…

Leuchtturm are doing some custom notebooks with a celebratory cover designed by Charlie Adlard, who stays busy having finally buried The Walking Dead but found time to create a brilliant bit of artwork for us.  It will also appear on the limited edition ink the lovely people at Diamine are brewing just for us. And you!

A Marbleous announcement from TWSBI

Something a little Italian from TWSBI here. The ECO Carrara will be arriving next week and its marbled effect and Onyx Black trim here make for a classy looking finish.

Carrara, the town the pen is named after, is an Italian town famed for its marble and the name certainly fits the pen nicely.

Pre-orders start on 24th September and the official release date is on the 26th!

New Furore

It’s been a while since we saw something new from Leonardo in their Furore range. So here’s four new models in a whole new collection with a new design.

All four of these new pens take their inspiration from the Amalfi Coast, which provides the surrounding of the beautiful village of Furore.

Notte di FuroreFiordo di FuroreLampone Selvatico and Acqua Ambrata are all available in either a gold or palladium trim and are available to pre-order now for an October delivery.

Dear Reader,

Not much in the way of mists and mellow fruitfulness – More Hail and Gales.  I’m in the process of putting it to bed, but might bury some broad bean seeds.  Am I too late?
