The LAMY Scala Piano Black fountain pen is still very much in the Bauhaus and has the almost-cylindrical lines that characterise the Scala. The pen was designed for LAMY by sieger design, who have brought their ideas of elegance in simplicity to this pen.

The underneath the high-gloss lacquer and chrome, the pen has a steel body that gives is a comfortable weight and heft in the hand. The pen body is about the same length as a LAMY AL-Star, though slimmer, (and obviously heavier than the latter’s light aluminium), so it is easy to write with even for extended periods. The Lamy Scala Piano Black fountain pen is sold as a cartridge pen, although the Z27 converter is included in the box. We can supply it with Extra Fine, Fine Medium or Broad nibs, or Oblique Medium Broad nibs.
