We often say “it’s a classic”, but in this case it is.  Lamy Safari Fountain Pen Savannah is one of the two original colours offered when Lamy launched the Safari back in 1980, and hasn’t been available for may years.  I’m delighted to say that we have a customer who has a set of the three original pens – fountain and ballpoint pens and pencil – purchased in the Design Museum before some of us were born.

As we all know, the Safari endures and over 40 years on is still our best selling fountain pen by some distance.  When a design is perfect, why change it?
