From Edo to Kyoto the Tōkaidō road connected the ancient heartlands of Japan, it’s 53 stations travelled by Lords, Merchants, And Pilgrims alike. Time has passed and this route is now travelled by Japan’s iconic Shinkansen high speed trains. The scenes as the route travels though the countryside and along the coast all in the shadow of Mt Fuji have long been the subject of artists who try to capture their beauty and it’s with this spirt that Sailor have created this set of limited edition Professional gear slim fountain pens.
Limited to 200 pieces each, each pen features a scene inspired by one of the many stops on the journey, each with a bullet train at the base. presented in a unique giftbox alongside an ink the pen comes with one of Sailors 14 karat gold nibs with a chrome plated silver trim.
