Leonardo Pura Frosted Petrol Blue Fountain Pen

Leonardo created the Pura as a testament to the design and craftsmanship of Italian fountain pens, a prefect balance between bold and bright aesthetics and carefully considered functionality, now returning with a new series of 3 fountain pens with a unique frosted finish.

Designed in the same shape as Leonardo’s Momento Zero Grande, the Pura takes the form of Leonardo’s popular oversized fountain pen and reimagines it with a frosted translucent resin, this material gives the bold blues of the pen an additional depth and subtle warmth as light diffuses through the material, allowing just a hint at the precisely engineered mechanisms within the pen, a place where design can meet detail. This new collection of Pura’s features a uniquely designed cap band that has been carved with a three dimensional pantograph to create an interesting geometric texture that perfectly compliments the soft frosted colour of the pen.

The Petrol blue colour is a deep teal which pairs perfectly with each of the pen’s three trims, the subtle depth afforded by the transparency of the resin creates an affect like the rich blue coastal waters of the Mediterranean that Italy is so well known for.

The pen is available with Leonardo’s #6 La Fenice steel nib, in sizes from Extra fine to a 1.5mm stub nib, it’s also available with one of Leonardo’s new #8 steel nibs, or a 14ct #8 gold nib
