Visconti Medici Rose Gold Ballpoint Pen

The Visconti Medici Rose Gold Ballpoint Pen completes the range of Visconti writing instruments in the Medici range, made in Florence to celebrate one of that beautiful city’s most famous families. As with the fountain pen and rollerball in this group, the ballpoint has an eight-sided barrel in emulation of the famous octagonal baptistry at the Florence’s cathedral with which the Medici family were so closely concerned.

The Visconti Medici Rose Gold Ballpoint pen is created out a new luxury material from Visconti, called ‘Acrosilk’. This is made of a mixture of acrylic resin, incorporating the finest silk threads that give a gorgeous texture and appearance, especially when allied with the briarwood colours of browns and dark yellows that Visconti say they have chosen to represent the luxurious materials used in making and decorating the Medicis’ great palaces. The process of injecting the different-coloured resins produces a pattern is unique to each writing instrument in the Medici range.

Made in Italy, the Visconti Medici Rose Gold ballpoint pen has rose-gold-plated palladium trim, including the sprung Visconti Ponte Vecchio bridge for the clip, and the band with the Medicis’ seal.
