Stipula Model T Fountain Pen Lapis Lazuli

Stipula are an Italian fine writing instrument manufacturer, based on the banks of the Arno river in Florence since 1973.

The Model T Ford, of course, was famous for being available in “any colour you like, as long as it’s black”, and the original Model T fountain pen was that colour too – but Stipula have branched out a little since then.

Lapis Lazuli was the mineral from Afghanistan which provided the blue in mediaeval stained glass and illuminated manuscripts – so expensive that it was worth more, by weight, than gold. This pen just borrows the colour, and is all the more affordable for it, but it does, if you prefer, come with a soft, bouncy titanium (‘T-flex’) nib.

To add to the fun, there are three ways to get the ink in; cartridge, converter, or the eyedropper included.
