The Sailor Shikiori Hisakata has a choice of four colours inspired by the season’s in Japan. This series of pens is an inexpensive addition, with a good range of colours, Sparkly Black (Stardust) – Hoshikuzu, Pink (Cherry Blossom) – Sakuraor, Blue (shower of rain) – Ichimuzu and Red (morning or evening sky) – Akanezora.

The Hoshikuzu has a slight shimmer to the barrel and twist-action cap, matching the silver appointments that of the Sailor band, clip and tip that each pen in the series has. Ichimuzu is the only one to have a transparent barrel and cap keeping the theme of water.

Sakura draws its inspiration from delicate cherry blossom leaves, an icon of Japanese springtime and a historic symbol of the changing seasons

Uchimizu is the Japanese tradition of sprinkling water on streets, gardens, and in front of homes too cool the air and welcome guests during hot summer days the transparent blue of the pen capturing light the same way water droplets do when flicked through the air

Akenezora refers to the deep red sunsets that occur as the hot summer season gives way to the colder autumn months, this brilliant orange-red colour complimenting the striking design of the pen.

Hoshikuzu is inspired by the deep dark skies of winter that seem to sparkle with endless stars, the transparent black body of the pen has been infused with subtle flecks of glitter to capture a little piece of this starlight.
