Sailor King Of Pens Tamenuri ‘Aodame’ Fountain Pen

The Sailor King Of Pens Tamenuri ‘Aodame’ Fountain Pen is based on the Ebonite King of Pen.

Tamenuri is an ancient traditional Japanese Urushi technique, ‘ame’ meaning “lake” and ‘nuri’ meaning lacquering, a perfect name as when the translucent Suki-Urushi is applied, it’s applied in layers to the pens coating, creating depth resulting in a unique deep patina which will naturally lighten and mature with use over time.

Mr Koushu Nishihara, the artist of the Sailor Tamenuri ‘Aodame’, signs his signature and the serial number on the barrel of each pen, only 88 pieces made.

The Sailor King Of Pens Tamenuri ‘Aodame’ Fountain Pen has the  21ct King of Pen nib in medium or broad.  It comes in a fine lacquered box.
