Sailor Ebonite Sculpture Fountain Pen Yogazsumi

This is one of a series of three pens.  All are desk pens, lacking clips but having a stop on the cap to prevent rolling.  All are made of ebonite, the hard rubber material prized by pen makers for many years.  The ebonite is worked to give different finishes on each of the three pens.

Yogazsumi (Night Haze) expresses the appearance of haze fluttering at the foot of a mountain at night through the use of sandblasting, which is a stronger process than usual blasting process, and fine bead blasting, which produces a rough texture that is pleasant to touch.
