Sailor Endangered Species - African Elephant Fountain Pen-1775

The Sailor Endangered Species Mammals fountain pen family are made in three versions, each of which are limited to only 88 each, world-wide.

This resin-based limited edition series of pens by Master Maki-E Artist Koshyu Nishihara was commissioned to acknowledge three different species that are under threat of extinction either through poaching or destruction of their native environment. The animals depicted on the three Sailor Endangered Species Mammals fountain pens are the Bengal Tiger, the Giant Panda, and the African Elephant.

This fountain pen features the African elephant, pictured on the grasslands of the veldt, and sheltering amongst baobab trees, with Mount Kiliminjaro in the distance. The colours of the animals and plants are beautifully subtle and restrained against the body-colour of the pen.

The Sailor Endangered Species Mammals Limited Edition Fountain Pen range is based on the classic 1911, and all of the luxury writing instruments are fitted with the gorgeous Sailor 21 carat gold nib in Fine, Medium and Broad. The pens are also supplied with the wonderfully-efficient Sailor converter for those who prefer bottled ink to cartridges.

Note that as limited-edition Maki-E pens, these beautiful writing instruments may have to be made to order, so we cannot promise to send it by return of post, even if you do order before 3.00pm, UK time.
