It’s that time of year again when Pilot release their yearly anniversary fountain pen. Every year Pilot produce a limited edition in their Capless design, releasing the same number as the year, meaning this year there are only 2,023 pieces worldwide available. A coveted fountain pen for collectors.
The Pilot 2023 60th anniversary is in a striking bright red, Kanreki red, the perfect colour when celebrating a 60th birthday in Japan, Korea and China. To complement the Kanreki red Pilot have chosen a matte black trim for the clicker mechanism, rings, clip and 18ct nib.
The Capless model is a classic in age, popularity and design. First released in the early 60’s the Capless, as the name suggests, does not have a cap. It instead has a click action mechanism which extends and retracts the nib flawlessly, with a protective cover keeping the nib from harm and to prevent it from drying out. A feature perfect for those who enjoy something a bit different or often misplace their caps.
With Pilot’s 18ct gold nib the writing experience is superb, a soft smooth write with any size nib, there won’t be any disappointment.
The pen is presented in a luxurious black gift box. Includes an ink cartridge, converter and information all inside a matte black envelope.
