The latest addition to pilots yearly collection of Limited edition Capless pens, has been inspired by the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi. This repair technique is traditionally used as a way to mend cracked and shattered pieces of pottery, using a lacquer that has been mixed with powdered gold or silver the broken parts of the item are made visible as golden streaks which tell the story of a piece which has been broken then repaired.

While Pilot haven’t dropped all their pens on the floor only to glue them back together they have managed to capture the iconic look of this repair process, the dark navy body of the golden journey capless has been imbibed with golden streaks which run throughout the pen, matching the elegant golden trim and nib.

Like with all of Pilot’s capless models the Golden Journey features a precisely tuned 18ct gold nib for a soft and refined writing experience.
