The production of the black and blue striped barrel is complex when creating the classic striped design. It takes many steps to achieve this based on a recipe developed especially for Pelikan. It is then bent, polished and cut to contour with a diamond. The gold‐plated rings on the filler grip and cap are fitted with the utmost precision, creating an almost seamless transition between the materials before the pen is polished to a high shine.
The pen is available in a range of nib widths and is fillable using bottled ink via a piston mechanism.
