This limited edition crossover with Bungubox Japan takes the classic American design of the Esterbrook estie and combines it with the timeless Japanese expression of Kachofugetsu, an idiom that celebrates seasonality and inspires Japanese aesthetic concepts, translating to “Flower, Bird, Wind, and Moon”.

Designed in collaboration with Kaoru Yamagishi, founder of BUNGUBOX, one of Japan’s most beloved pen boutiques. It is inspired by the bird element of Kachofugetsu paying tribute to the jewel like feathers and graceful character of the kingfisher. Made from a special diamond cast resin and featuring a stunning display of deep teals, soft blacks, and warm copper colours. With a gold plated trim that perfectly accentuates the colours of the pen, it also features a gold plated nib engraved with the Japanese character for bird, as well as a special converter, decorated with kingfishers.
