Sailor Professional Gear Sai-bi Togi Slim Red Fountain Pen

The Sailor Professional Gear Saibi Togi Slim Red fountain pen is made out of pearl red resin with rhodium-plated accents, in a shape that matches the Professional Gear Slim range.

However, the most spectacular feature of the pen is the Sai-bi Togi nib, which is the finest nib that Sailor have ever made – Japanese fine nibs tend to be finer than Western ones anyway, but this one is Extra Extra Fine (EEF), and is made of 14 carat gold that is rhodium plated to match the pen’s accoutrements.

The Sai-bi Togi nib was created by Yukio Nagahara-san (“Young Mr Nagahara”), one of Sailor’s expert nib-designing family, and its manufacture involves eleven (11) different processes, some of which are so delicate that they involve working under a microscope. Sai-bi means “fine and beautiful writing”, and there aren’t many nibs that can provide writing finer than this one.

The Sailor Professional Gear Saibi Togi Slim Red fountain pen can be used with cartridges, but is shipped with a converter filling system to allow the use of bottled ink.
