Sailor Professional Gear II Fountain Pen
Since its establishment in 1911, the Sailor Pen Company has maintained a belief in precision writing instruments, all of them made in Japan.
The Sailor Professional Gear II fountain pen is, as its name suggests, an improved and sleeker version of the Sailor Pro Gear fountain pen that was originally designed for Sailor by Kawaguchi Akihiro-san, who is also one of the company’s premier nib designers.
Made of a durable acrylic black resin with gold or silver accompaniments, the Sailor Pro Gear II fountain pen design features the stylish cut-away cap that bears Sailor’s anchor logo on its top, but with the attractively re-designed clip.
The Sailor Professional Gear II fountain pens are fitted with Sailor’s supremely-smooth 21 carat gold bi-colour nibs, which are available in Fine, Medium or Broad.
Recently, in response to customers’ desire for “stealth” pens, Sailor have added a third pen to the Professional Gear range, again in black resin, but this time in matt black. It has all of the features of the luxury writing instruments in the Sailor Pro Gear II fountain pen range, and looks truly sophisticated. The accompaniments of the Sailor Professional Gear II matte black fountain pen are in silver only.
As with all of Sailor’s traditional fountain pens, the cap band has the words “Sailor Japan founded 1911” engraved around it, showing the company’s experience and expertise in over a century of fine pen production, still made in Japan. Write Here are proud to be associated with Sailor, and to make these pens available to buy online or from our shop on the High Street in Shrewsbury in the UK.
