Many of you will remember donating animals for the Holztiger Ark we sent to the School for the Deaf # 2 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. We've had some photo's back of children using the Ark and animals from Dr White of the Clinical Science and Education Foundation, which went in an earlier newsletter.

He has now sent us a link to a video on You Tube. It is fascinating, and gives a great insight into the school and the work they do. If you can remember the earliest pictures we printed of the school before renovation, you'll be amazed at the progress that has been made. And, icing on the cake for us, at about 4 minutes in, there's film of the children playing with some of the animals you donated. Click here to see the video.

Newsletters from the distant past....

I've been rummaging around in the vaults, and found most of our early attempts at newsletters. Some are fairly embarrasing, some remind us of past triumphs - and stuff that never quite happened. AS soon as I've worked out how to link to a pdf file, we'll be there!

RETAS SHORTLIST AGAIN
May 2010

Last year we were delighted to win the award as Best Independent Card Shop for the Wales and Midlands region. Well, we've been nominated again, and found out a couple of days ago that we're on the shortlist again.

We're making sure that the shop is looking great, and that the cards are all up to scratch, because some time over the next couple of months we'll be mystery shopped by the judges. We'll be watching very carefully for customers with a vaguely judicial air about them, but we certainly didn't spot them last year. So probably the safest thing to do is assume that any of you might be a judge, and carry on offering the best possible customer service!
