The shafts of these pens are formed by 'TecFlex, the cladding used to protect wiring and hydraulics on the iconic Porsche range of cars,' in a special steel or steel / gold version. All the other metal parts feature high-quality silver plating and a palladium coating for a silky, matt finish. The result is a pen of remarkably pleasing tactile quality, and a near certain meeting - stopper when brought out in a meeting! There is nothing in the pen world that looks, or feels, quite like it! It is a heavy but beautifully balanced pen, which is what you would expect from a collaboration between Porsche design and Graf von Faber Castell, one of Germany's leading pen manufacturers.

The lead is activated using the "give" of the Tecflex - as it is compressed,the nib is moved forwards. Compress it again and it retracts. An unusual and elegant solution.
